Police confirmed that Bhusal is being investigated under the charge of offenses against public order. The court’s order was issued on Wednesday, allowing him to remain in custody for further questioning.
Bhusal was arrested on Tuesday at Saraswati Ashram in Gorkha Municipality–8 by a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office.
He had recently made provocative statements targeting Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, and Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah. Bhusal also made anarchic remarks against former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.
During a press conference at Samvad Dabali last Saturday, Bhusal accused Oli and Lekhak of being responsible for the deaths of 22 people during the Gen Z protests on Bhadra 23.
