Kathmandu—Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has obtained a duplicate copy of her citizenship certificate from the Kathmandu District Administration Office.

Her original citizenship certificate was destroyed in a house fire during the protests on Bhadra 24. Following the incident, she applied for a replacement copy.
On Tuesday, Bhandari personally visited the Kathmandu District Administration Office to receive the duplicate document.
Chief District Officer Ishwar Raj Paudel officially handed over the citizenship copy to the former president.
