According to airport spokesperson Binod Singh Raut, the aircraft, carrying 82 passengers including two children, experienced a hydraulic malfunction and was safely landed around noon.

“All passengers were safely rescued after the pilot reported a hydraulic issue. Preparations are underway to send them to Kathmandu on another flight,” Raut told Nepal Press.

Technical experts from Kathmandu are heading to Bhairahawa to inspect the aircraft and determine the cause of the failure.
