Under the new rule, travelers departing on visit visas will now be allowed to leave if they present a valid passport (minimum six months), visa or on-arrival eligibility, a confirmed air ticket, and a self-declaration of travel purpose and responsibility.
The department announced that the decision takes effect immediately, urging all Nepali citizens to travel confidently without relying on middlemen. It also requested local and district offices to help communicate the information widely.
The immigration authority stated that it is committed to balancing regulation and facilitation, strengthening national security, and ensuring full good governance in immigration administration.
