Baitadi— Shivnath Rural Municipality has declared four days of local public holiday for festivals at Shivnath Temple and Dehigada Bhagwati Temple.

According to Karn Singh Saud, the municipality chair, the holidays will be observed on Kartik 11–12 and Kartik 18–19, following a decision made at a chair-level meeting on Sunday.
The municipality stated that the holidays were announced considering the enthusiastic participation of locals and visitors in the festivals. During this period, all government offices, educational institutions, banks, and financial organizations within the municipality will remain closed.
The Shivnath Temple festival attracts not only devotees from across Nepal but also visitors from neighboring India. Every year, the festival is celebrated on Kartik Shukla Saptami and Ashtami at the temple.
