Trading of the company’s common shares began on Thursday under the ticker symbol “FUSE.” With this, Fusemachines has become the first company of Nepali origin to be listed on NASDAQ, one of the world’s leading stock markets.

The company described this milestone as the beginning of a new chapter in its mission to “democratize AI for everyone.” The public listing, it said, will help the company expand its global reach and meet the rapidly growing demand for AI-driven enterprise solutions.

Expressing his excitement, Dr. Maskey, the Founder and CEO of Fusemachines, said,

“From starting as a small, mission-driven team to becoming a NASDAQ-listed company, this achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to innovation and performance. This listing marks the beginning of our next chapter — one focused on disciplined growth, strategic investments, and creating sustainable value for our shareholders.”

Founded in 2013, Fusemachines operates across North America, Asia (including Nepal and the Dominican Republic), and Latin America, serving clients in healthcare, finance, retail, manufacturing, and the public sector.

The company’s public listing followed a merger agreement through which it secured new investments. According to the company, the funds will be used to strengthen its balance sheet, enhance product innovation, expand customer reach, and make strategic investments in sales and marketing.

Born in Kathmandu, Dr. Sameer Maskey also serves as an associate professor at Columbia University. He described the NASDAQ listing as a “historic success and a proud moment” for Nepali-origin companies around the world.
