Kathmandu—Ganga Dahal, daughter of Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ has resigned from the party’s secretariat.

In a statement shared on social media, Ganga said she stepped down because of constant and targeted attacks against her father and the Maoist Centre using her name.
“I have resigned from the secretariat, as I could no longer tolerate the continuous and planned attacks against my father and the entire party,” she stated.
However, Ganga clarified that she will remain active in the party as a responsible member and expressed gratitude to all leaders, cadres, and citizens for their support.
She also drew attention to what she called misleading media reports about her.
