Kathmandu — Nepal’s Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Mahabir Pun, shared on social media the story behind a Rolex watch he recently received.

Amid discussions about Communication Minister Jagdish Kharel wearing an expensive watch, Minister Pun explained on Facebook, ‘An elderly couple from Suketar gave me this Rolex while I was selling books in Taplejung. They insisted I take it, even though I initially refused. If I had worn it, it might have been ruined, but keeping it in my bag saved it.’
He added, “Three years ago, a friend from the UK gave me another Rolex, which I sold on Facebook. But I won’t sell this one immediately. It’s a bit difficult for me, this humble minister.”
