Kathmandu- Home Secretary Rameshwar Dangal has issued a sweeping 7-page directive to all 77 Chief District Officers (CDOs) across Nepal. The directive, issued on Sunday, focuses on maintaining peace and security, crime control, good governance, coordination, and improving public service delivery.
The circular urges CDOs to act responsibly and proactively to strengthen citizens’ trust in the government.

According to the ministry, the directive includes 11 key sections: 9 points on peace and security, 3 on crime control, 5 on elections, 10 on governance and service delivery, 1 on development management, 3 on prison administration, 3 on disaster management, 32 on supply management, 7 on monitoring and inspection, 10 on program management, and 8 miscellaneous points.
The order, approved at the secretary level, has been officially dispatched to all district offices through Under Secretary Rabindra Acharya.
