Kathmandu — Although no major weather system is expected during this year’s Tihar festival, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) predicts partially to generally cloudy skies in hilly areas due to the influence of western winds. Light rain or snow may occur in some high hills and Himalayan regions.

Kartik 3 (Laxmi Puja): Partly cloudy in hills, light showers in one or two locations in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali.

The DHM has urged the public to stay updated on weather conditions throughout the Tihar festival.
