Kathmandu — The Nepali Army has confirmed that only 22 of the 76 people who died during the Gen-Z movement on Bhadra 23–24 were protesters.
At a press briefing on Friday, Lt. Gen. Anup Jung Thapa, head of the Army’s War Operations Department, said the deceased included 22 protesters, 3 police officers, 10 prisoners, and 41 others.

According to the Army, 19 people died in New Baneshwor and 2 in Itahari after being shot during the protests.
