Kathmandu—The Supreme Court of Nepal has registered nine writ petitions challenging the recent dissolution of the House of Representatives. According to the court, ten petitions were submitted; however, only nine met the registration requirements.

The court has scheduled the hearing for Kartik 12.

Earlier, following the “Gen Z” protest on Bhadra 24, which saw vandalism, arson, and looting inside the Supreme Court premises, all regular court activities—except for habeas corpus and urgent petitions—had been suspended.

With the resumption of petition registration and hearings on Tuesday, multiple writs against the parliamentary dissolution have been filed in rapid succession.
