Kathmandu – The Cabinet meeting held on Thursday promoted four Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) of Nepal Police to the rank of Additional Inspector General (AIG).

According to Minister for Communication, Information and Technology Jagadish Kharel, the officers promoted are Sushil Singh Rathour, Uma Prasad Chaturvedi, Himalaya Kumar Shrestha, and Dambar Bahadur BK.

Rathour had been recommended for the Administration Department, Economic Administration and Management Directorate at Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal. Chaturvedi was recommended for the Madhesh Police Office in Janakpurdham, Shrestha for the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority Police Division in Tangal, and Bik for the Sudurpashchim Province Police Office in Dhangadhi, Kailali.
