Kathmandu – Gold prices in the local market surged again on October 9, 2025 (Ashwin 23, 2082 B.S.), setting a new record high.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold on Thursday reached Rs. 239,200 per tola, marking the highest rate ever recorded in Nepal’s market history.

On Wednesday, gold was traded at Rs. 238,000 per tola, indicating a sharp rise within a day.

Meanwhile, silver prices have also increased slightly, reaching Rs. 3,025 per tola, according to the federation. On Tuesday, silver was fixed at Rs 2,955.
