Kathmandu – The Embassy of Nepal in Doha has urged all Nepalis living in Qatar to fully comply with the country’s laws, regulations, and cultural values. In a public notice issued on Asoj 22, the embassy warned Nepalis against consuming alcohol or engaging in quarrels in public places, drug smuggling, the circulation of obscene videos, cheque bounce offenses, and defamatory or false posts on social media.
The embassy also cautioned Nepalis not to get involved in scams promising jobs in third countries—particularly in Eastern Europe—or to violate immigration and traffic rules. It advised Nepalis not to accept parcels without checking, to behave politely and responsibly, and to avoid any cash transactions.

It further instructed citizens not to share their passports, Qatar ID cards, bank details, or SIM cards with others; not to work for companies other than the one listed on their visa; and to refrain from bringing or trading banned items such as bhang ko achar or marchha. Posting defamatory content or anything that could harm social harmony was also strongly discouraged.
Additionally, the embassy urged Nepalis to avoid wearing indecent clothing in public, to obtain prior approval from Qatari authorities before organizing any events, and to strengthen unity, goodwill, and cooperation among Nepali organizations and communities in Qatar.
