Kathmandu – Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has announced that all investigation files previously closed due to political pressure will be reopened.
Speaking to journalists after inspecting the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) on Friday, Minister Aryal clarified that past obstructions in investigations caused by political interference will be removed, and all files will be revisited.
He emphasized that a breakthrough in criminal investigations is imminent. Aryal stated that the previous government and elected representatives failed to deliver good governance, leading to the collapse of their mandate. Therefore, the current government prioritizes establishing good governance. He added that without peace and security, elections cannot be held within six months, making governance a necessity.
Minister Aryal also instructed CIB officials to demonstrate professionalism and carry out investigations effectively.
