Kathmandu- Continuous rainfall has triggered landslides, blocking five major highways across Nepal, police reported.

The Koshi Highway in Sankhuwasabha’s Bhotkhola and Makalu, the Pasang Lhamu Highway at the Rasuwagadhi Friendship Bridge, the Mugling–Narayanghat section in Chitwan, and the Mid-Hill Highway in Rukum East are fully obstructed.

According to DIG Binod Ghimire, spokesperson for Nepal Police, the East–West Highway in Nawalparasi East, the Kaligandaki Corridor in Baglung, and the Trishuli–Mailung road in Rasuwa are open only on a single lane.
