Kathmandu: Over the past five decades, the Nepali film industry has witnessed numerous scandals involving love affairs, disputes, divorces, on-set fights, and personal controversies, all of which generated widespread media and public attention.
The first major scandal involved Deepak Rayamajhi, Kristi KC, and Rajesh Hamal. During the filming of Bhagyarekha, Hamal and KC grew close, but Rayamajhi removed Hamal from the film, sparking a major stir in the industry.
Another notable scandal was the mysterious disappearance of Mausami Malla. The lead actress of films like Basanta and Tilhari secretly moved to Belgium at the peak of her career, causing industry-wide speculation.

The fifth scandal involved Bhuwan KC’s personal life. After two divorces, he entered a live-in relationship with actress Jiya KC, generating long-lasting buzz in the film industry.
