Kathmandu. The government has reshuffled three senior secretaries. According to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Home Secretary Gokarnamani Dubadi has been transferred to the National Planning Commission. Defense Secretary Rameshwar Dangal will replace him, while NPC Secretary Sumanraj Aryal has been appointed as the new Defense Secretary.
Although the Cabinet decided on Sunday, the confirmation was delayed until Tuesday due to a public holiday on Monday. Dubadi had faced criticism for allegedly ordering the use of force during the Gen Z protests held on Bhadra 23-24.
