Kathmandu- Arjun Kumar, accused of murdering his girlfriend in Delhi eight years ago after she rejected his marriage proposal, has been arrested near the India–Nepal border. According to PTI, Kumar had been on the run since November 16, 2017, and had escaped from a Nepalese jail during recent violent protests.

He allegedly killed his girlfriend by stabbing her and slitting her throat. Authorities had offered a reward of ₹1 lakh for information leading to his capture.
DSP Harsh Indore said Kumar was attempting to enter his home state of Bihar from Nepal when a strategically deployed team intercepted and arrested him near Raxaul.
