“Organ donation” is a noble act that gives others a chance at life. It’s not only necessary after death – some organs can be donated while you’re still breathing and healthy.

1. Kidney
Every person has two kidneys. One healthy kidney is enough to live a normal life, so donating one to a family member or loved one in need is worth considering.
2. Liver
A portion of the liver can be donated. Even after donating a small part, the liver has the remarkable ability to regenerate.
3. Pancreas
The pancreas produces insulin, which is vital for the body. A portion of it can be donated.
4. Lung
A part of the lung can be donated, although the procedure is quite complex.
5. Intestine
A segment of the small intestine can be donated if needed.
6. Bone Marrow
Bone marrow donation is possible and regenerates within a week after donation.
7. Blood and Platelets
This is the most common and easiest donation process. It can be done regularly and helps save lives.
