Kathmandu, Nov 15 . An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter Scale hit Achham district in Sudurpaschim Province today evening.

The quake, with epicenter at Babala in Achham district, occurred at 6:08 pm, according to National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre at Lainchaur in Kathmandu.

The quake is a fresh one, not the aftershock of the Gorkha Earthquake that occurred on April 25, 2015, the Centre said. There has been an increase in the occurrence of quake in Sudurpaschim Province lately. (RSS):
