Tokyo: Nepal’s men’s cricket team’s match against hosts Japan in the ongoing 20th Asian Games has been delayed due to rain. Japan won the toss and elected to bat first, but the match could not start as scheduled because of the weather.
Nepal made a winning start by defeating Afghanistan by five wickets in their previous match. A victory over Japan today would see Nepal finish as group winners and advance to the quarterfinals. As group winners, Nepal would face Sri Lanka in the quarterfinals, while finishing second would set up a clash with India.
