Prime Minister Balendra Shah arrived in New York on Wednesday morning (local time) to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, leading Nepal’s delegation.
Shah was welcomed at John F. Kennedy International Airport by Nepal’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Lok Bahadur Thapa, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. at the Embassy of Nepal in Washington, D.C.; Sharad Raj Aran, Consul General of Nepal in New York; Dadhiram Bhandari; and other officials of Nepal’s Permanent Mission to the UN.
Prime Minister Shah is scheduled to address the General Assembly on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
