Kathmandu – Commercial banks have announced new deposit interest rates for Ashoj, with the average maximum rate on personal deposits dropping to 4.0895%, down from 4.136% in Bhadra. The biggest cut came from Everest Bank, reducing personal deposit rates by 0.55 percentage points to 3.5% and institutional deposits to 3.25%.
Nabil Bank set personal deposits at 4.25% while keeping institutional deposits steady at 3.01%. Standard Chartered lowered to 3.75%, and Kumari Bank to 3.73%. Sanima Bank raised institutional deposits to 3.51% but maintained personal deposits at 4.50%. The highest personal deposit rate for Ashoj is offered by Prabhu Bank at 4.55%.
Meanwhile, 15 banks including Machhapuchhre, Nepal Investment Mega, NMB, Krishi Bikas, and Rastriya Banijya have kept their rates unchanged from Bhadra.
