India has approved exporting up to 654 MW of electricity to Nepal daily from September 13 to December 31, 2026, following major damage to Nepal’s hydropower infrastructure from recent floods.
The electricity will be supplied for 18 hours a day. India said the approval will help Nepal meet its electricity needs during the difficult period and strengthen long-standing energy cooperation between the two countries.
