Gold Price Rises Again After Sharp Fall Yesterday

Kathmandu – After dropping by NPR 5,300 per tola yesterday, the price of gold has increased today. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, gold rose by NPR 800 per tola, reaching NPR 284,000.

Yesterday, the price had fallen to NPR 283,200 per tola. Meanwhile, the price of silver has declined today. Silver dropped by NPR 10 per tola, settling at NPR 4,310. Yesterday, silver had already fallen by NPR 125 per tola, standing at NPR 4,320.

On Magh 15, gold had surged by NPR 20,500 per tola, hitting a record high of NPR 339,300 per tola – the highest ever in the Nepali market. Similarly, on Magh 18, silver saw its steepest fall, dropping by NPR 1,565 per tola. Earlier, on Magh 15, silver had reached NPR 7,505 per tola, its highest price to date.
