Kathmandu – In tomorrow morning’s England vs Mexico match, England players have been permitted to use Viagra under medical advice. Since the game will be played at an altitude of more than 2,200 meters, the medicine is considered helpful in combating altitude sickness.
According to British newspaper The Sun, medical staff have allowed players to take Viagra. The drug is not on the World Anti-Doping Agency banned list. Studies show Viagra helps reduce pulmonary blood pressure, which in turn lessens fatigue and dizziness at high altitudes.
England coach Thomas Tuchel said the team is prepared to use every possible measure to cope with Mexico’s geographical challenges. The match will kick off at 5:45 AM at the historic Azteca Stadium, located 2,200 meters above sea level. Mexican players are already accustomed to playing at such altitude. In the past 56 years, Mexico has lost only two matches at the Azteca Stadium.
