Kathmandu — The Nepal Oil Corporation has announced a major reduction in petroleum product prices. Effective from midnight Tuesday, petrol has been reduced by NPR 20 per liter, diesel by NPR 30 per liter, and cooking LPG gas by NPR 100 per cylinder.
According to the corporation, the new pricing is based on revised purchase rates received from the Indian Oil Corporation. Petrol dropped by NPR 15.09 per liter, diesel by NPR 29.46, aviation fuel by NPR 29.42, and LPG also saw a cut.
With falling fuel prices in the international market, the corporation implemented the new rates from 12:01 AM on Wednesday (Ashar 17). Additionally, the international aviation fuel price for Kathmandu has been reduced by USD 265 per kiloliter, while rates for Pokhara and Bhairahawa have been kept at break-even levels.
