Prakash Kafle/Kathmandu. The secretariat meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party is currently underway at the party’s central office in ChamatI. The meeting is primarily focused on recommending candidates for proportional representation seats in parliament. Party chairman Rabi Lamichhane is attending the meeting virtually, as he was unable to be physically present due to health reasons, according to party sources.
However, officials who joined the party from the team of Balen Shah before the elections are reportedly not participating in the ongoing meeting. Prior to the elections, two members from Balen Shah’s team were included in the party’s leadership structure. Sunil Lamsal was appointed as General Secretary, while Bhupdep Shah was given the role of Joint General Secretary.
Despite holding these positions, neither of them has been seen attending the current secretariat meeting. The party has not yet issued an official explanation regarding their absence.
