Prakash Kafle/Kathmandu. Gokul Baskota has strongly criticized Sher Bahadur Tamang through a Facebook post, calling him an “extreme opportunist.”
Baskota accused Tamang of publicly attacking and insulting him while expressing his opinion. He said Tamang criticized him openly “as if ploughing through a millet field,” showing anger over the remarks. In his response on Facebook, Baskota claimed he is not someone who would create unrest or split a political party for personal benefits. “I am not a character like you who escalates disputes and splits the party for your own and your wife’s position,” he wrote.
Both leaders belong to the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist), and their public exchange has once again brought attention to internal disputes within the party.
