Prakash Kafle/ Kathmandu. Balen Shah has expressed heartfelt condolences on the passing of Mohan Prasad Oli, the father of K. P. Sharma Oli. In a message shared on social media Friday evening, Shah extended sympathy to the Oli family and reflected on the unique role a father plays in a person’s life. He described a father as a protector, teacher, and guiding figure, emphasizing that one individual often carries many responsibilities within a family. Shah also noted that he personally understands the pain of losing a father, recalling that he experienced a similar loss not long ago. According to him, the absence of a father leaves a deep emotional void that cannot easily be filled. He concluded by offering his sincere condolences to former Prime Minister Oli and paying tribute to the late Mohan Prasad Oli.
Mohan Prasad Oli passed away on Friday at the age of 97.
