Prakash Kafle/Kathmandu. In the ongoing vote counting for Nepal’s House of Representatives election, many senior leaders of the CPN-UML appear to be trailing behind their rivals. Party chairman KP Sharma Oli is significantly behind in his constituency. According to the latest update from the Election Commission, Rastriya Swatantra Party leader Balen Shah has secured 26,062 votes, while Oli has received only 6,794 votes.
Out of the 19 office bearers of the UML, 12 contested in this election. However, the current vote count shows that most of them are struggling to take the lead. Party secretary Rajan Bhattarai has already been defeated, while other leaders are also lagging behind their opponents.
