Prakash Kafle/Kathmandu. Pushpa Kamal Dahal, popularly known as C, has won the House of Representatives election from Rukum East by a large margin, giving the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) its first victory in the election. Out of the 15,823 votes counted so far, Prachanda secured 8,747 votes. His closest rival, Lilamani Gautam, received 3,017 votes, placing him in second position.
A total of 19,188 votes were cast in this constituency. Although 3,365 votes are yet to be counted, Prachanda is already ahead by 5,460 votes, making his victory certain. With this result, the Nepali Communist Party has opened its account in the parliamentary election, while Prachanda has maintained his strong political presence in Rukum East.
