Prakash Kafle/Kathmandu. Following the House of Representatives taking place today, ballot boxes from remote areas across the country will be transported by helicopter.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, ballot boxes from nearly 100 polling centers located in 61 different locations across 15 districts will be airlifted to designated counting centers. The decision has been made due to geographical challenges and the lack of reliable road access in those remote regions.Officials stated that the ballot boxes will be collected under the leadership of polling officers and transported within a tight security arrangement provided by security personnel.
Assistant Spokesperson of the Ministry, Rama Acharya Subedi, said that the government is also prepared to deploy helicopters in additional areas if necessary.The ministry emphasized that the arrangement aims to ensure a secure, organized, and timely completion of the election process.
