Kathmandu: Medical entrepreneur and civic activist Durga Prasai has been arrested once more. On Monday evening, he was taken into custody from his residence in Bhaktapur, according to SP Pawan Bhattarai of the Kathmandu District Police Office. Bhattarai stated that Prasai has now been brought to the KTM police office.
Earlier, on Magh 26, he was arrested from Chalnakhel in Dakshinkali Municipality, Kathmandu. He was released on bail on Magh 28. According to police sources, Prasai was arrested this time on charges of making statements that could disrupt the elections. He had been warning of an indefinite Nepal Bandh if his demands were not met.
