Kathmandu. Police have uncovered an organized racket supplying women to hotels across Kathmandu and arrested a key middleman who had been under covert investigation for three weeks.

The suspect, 39-year-old Kul Bahadur Karki from Dolakha, currently residing in Budhanilkantha, was arrested on Mangsir 20. Police are investigating him under charges of human trafficking and transportation.

According to investigators, Karki coordinated with hotel staff and taxi drivers to supply women to hotels in areas including Thamel, Gaushala, Gongabu, and near the airport. Police recovered around 50 photographs of women from his mobile phone.

Two women have filed complaints, alleging they were lured and forced into the trade. Police say investigations are ongoing and other individuals and groups may also be involved.
