Kathmandu. The Joint Gen Z Movement has strongly condemned the police crackdown on its peaceful protest held at Maitighar Mandala, calling it a clear display of government repression.

In a statement issued by coordinator Miraj Dhungana and movement commander Sunil Singh, the movement said several protesters were injured, and some were unlawfully detained. However, authorities were forced to release them following collective pressure. The movement said dialogue remains open but warned that protests will intensify if demands are ignored.
The Joint Gen Z Movement has called on its supporters to join a stronger and peaceful protest on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., stating that fear, threats, or repression will not deter it.
