Kathmandu—Police Assistant Sub-Inspector Pushkar Karki, who worked at Tribhuvan International Airport, is in custody at Gausala Police Station for allegedly killing his six-month-old son on December 7 in Sinamangal.
According to investigators, Karki used a kitchen knife to fatally injure the child. He also assaulted his wife, Vishnu Saud, after the incident. Neighbors helped restrain him until the police arrived.
Karki told authorities that he acted in a moment of anger. The infant had prior health issues and was undergoing treatment. Two knives were recovered from the scene, and Karki is under investigation for homicide with a five-day police remand.
