India: A heartbreaking incident occurred in Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh, where a 23-day-old newborn suffocated to death while sleeping between his parents.

चार वर्षपछि जन्मेको नवजात आमाबाबुको बीचमा सुत्दा भयानक घटना

The baby was born after four years of waiting, making the loss even more devastating for the family. On the night of December 7, the parents noticed the child was motionless and rushed him to Gajraula Community Health Center, where doctors declared him dead.

Dr. Yogendra Singh confirmed the cause of death as suffocation due to accidental smothering. He warned, “Parents must be extremely cautious when sleeping with newborns, especially during winter.”

Medical experts also raised concerns about Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), a condition where infants under one year die suddenly in their sleep without clear cause. Most SIDS cases occur between 14 months of age, with higher risk during cold months.
