Kathmandu — Following the CIB’s investigation and detention of Prabhu Bank’s CEO and three employees, rumors circulated that the bank’s Chief Business Officer, Rasmi Pant, had gone on the run.

Pant has confirmed these claims are false. She had taken approved leave on Friday and traveled to her hometown, Mahendranagar, on Saturday to attend her cousin’s wedding. She stated, ‘I will return to the office once my leave is over. The rumor that I fled is completely baseless.’
Pant also clarified that there is no arrest warrant or official communication regarding any investigation against her. Senior bank officials described the situation as an unfortunate coincidence and reaffirmed that Pant will resume her duties as planned.
