Kathmandu- Adam Rosington’s brilliant century powered Pokhara Avengers to a 34-run win over Karnali Yaks in the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL) on Tuesday, keeping their playoff hopes alive.
Chasing a target of 202, Karnali was bowled out for 167 in 19 overs. Opener Mark Watt scored 59, but other batsmen failed to support him significantly.
For Pokhara, Dhananjay Luxon, and Rishi Dhawan took 3 wickets each. Captain Kushal Bhurtel and Rosington put together a 127-run second-wicket partnership, steering their team to victory.
With this win, Pokhara has 4 points from 5 games, while Karnali Yaks, having lost 5 of 6 games, are out of playoff contention.
