Kathmandu-KP Sharma Oli, chairman of the CPN-UML and former prime minister, has returned from the military barracks.
During the Gen Z protests, the Nepali Army had taken him into custody for security reasons. After resigning from the premiership on Bhadra 24, Oli had been staying in the barracks and has now emerged.

Security sources say Oli has moved to Gundu in Bhaktapur, where a rented house has been arranged for him. His residence in Balkot was burned by protesters, prompting the relocation. UML Politburo member Mahesh Basnet facilitated Oli’s move and has prepared a public statement for a grand announcement.
